Doka is committed to bringing sustainable products to the market. Therefore, we assess the environmental impact of our products, including determining the Product Carbon Footprint. The determination of the carbon footprint throughout the lifecycle of our products is based on our internal and external investigations in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standards and the ISO 14044 standards. Additionally, specific details from EN 15804 were considered, which sets additional requirements and methods for the environmental declaration of construction products, as Doka GmbH's products are used as temporary construction aids and the PCF values can be important input data for customers' own EPDs. The conversion of inventory data into CO2 equivalents is carried out using the Ecoinvent database version 3.10 or a newer version (System model Allocation, cut-off by classification) with the characterization factors of the IPCC 2021 impact assessment method. A more detailed documentation of the methodology applied in the PCF calculation can be sent upon request.

We would like to point out that the calculation of the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) is based on the assumption of the expected technical lifespan. This assumption is made in accordance with industry standards and empirical values. The assumption for the specified technical lifespan presumes careful handling. Corrosivity parameters such as proximity to the sea are not considered, and a chemically non-aggressive environment based on our experiences in Central Europe is assumed. Only products marked with * are included in the calculation. For products without a calculation, estimated values can be provided upon request.
However, it is important to emphasize that the technical lifespan is an assumption and should not be understood as a warranty or guarantee statement. We do not accept any liability for the actual service life of the products. The actual lifespan of the products depends on the actual usage conditions.
