Doka Serbia once again had the opportunity to support one of the major infrastructure projects - the Čortanovci Viaduct. This is the reconstruction, modernisation and construction of the railway Belgrade - Novi Sad - Subotica railway line as part of Belgrade-Budapest rail route.
Building-structural solution Viaduct Čortanovci is designed as a two-lane viaduct bridge structure with a total length of 5 800 m. Each bridge is divided into five independent sections, where one section has a span of 10 x 68 m. The height of the upper structure - the bridge deck - is 4,10 m. The entire bridge deck is supported by 58 rectangular piers with a maximum height of 26 m.
Formwork used Frami Xlife and Framax Xlife framing systems were used to construct the foundations and edge supports. For fast and efficient implementation of high pillars MF 240 climbing platforms were deployed in combination with Top 50 beam formwork. The modular Doka UniKit system proved to be a good solution in the section of the bridge where the superstructure was more than 20m in the height. Doka Serbia supplied partially pre-assembled UniKit towers and trusses, which significantly accelerated the formwork progress work.
