Working safely with CO2-optimised concrete mixes in the precast industry
Sustainability and the efficient use of resources are becoming a necessity for the future. Now and in the future, precast producers will have to work on reducing CO2 emissions. By optimising concrete mix designs, knowing the exact curing times and reducing cement requirements, CO2 emissions can be reduced and both time and money can be saved. Doka has therefore implemented a solution for Austrian precast producer Oberndorfer that is tailored to the customer's needs and has been in successful operation for 5 years. Thanks to Concremote, the company benefits from the earliest possible and most reliable pre-tensioning, as well as automatic, digital documentation of measurement data for quality assurance.
Customer requirements:
- Stationary precast elements (e.g. columns, trusses): Safe pre-tensioning of the tensioning cables, documentation
- Circulation system (cavity walls, element ceilings): Optimisation of concrete mixes, documentation
Concremote solution:
- Concremote calibration to calibrate the concrete recipes and, if necessary, alternative mixes.
- Concremote slab sensors 2.0 are used in production.
- The slab sensors were customised with a flat measuring point.
- Documentation for quality assurance

Up to 90 minutes earlier pre-tensioning of precast elements.
