For the construction of the central Intersport distribution centre, the Schärding-based construction professional WAIZENAUER BAUUNTERNEHMEN GMBH & CO KG is relying on digital construction documentation with Site Docu and Analytics. The company has thus taken the next step towards integrating future-oriented technologies directly at the construction site.
A digital construction diary is being used for the first time during the construction of the distribution centre: everything from the construction site team to material planning and photo documentation is recorded digitally and is therefore available on the servers in real time. The documentation was carried out directly on the 2D construction plan. Everyday construction work is stressful, which is why Waizenauer attaches particular importance to providing the construction site team with a simple and intuitive tool to work with. This keeps the focus on the essentials: Building.
Site Docu and Analytics is the first construction software that is so close to the real world that 55-year-old and experienced foreman Jochen was able to integrate it into his everyday work immediately. Entering data in the digital construction diary is not an additional workload, but brings significantly more benefits. Daily construction and management reports are optimally supported by the automatic weather entries and the quick documentation of services or special incidents with pictures allows him to keep his head clear for his construction site team. If the documentation is required by the client, the complete construction documentation is available as a PDF with just one click.
"For me, the photo documentation and the automatic weather entries are the most practical features of Site Docu and Analytics. I can do this directly on the construction site and save myself the hassle of having to add them in the evening."
Jochen, Foreman Waizenauer
The site manager also benefits from using the digital construction diary. How? With the booked working times, target/actual comparisons can be carried out quickly in order to keep a better eye on the progress of the project. The monthly overview of the work carried out at the push of a button also makes work much easier for the foreman and site manager. In addition, the collaboration with the local building inspectorate (ÖBA) was streamlined in this construction project thanks to a digital approval process. The digital approval process is now more traceable and brings greater clarity and transparency to the construction project.
"With clean documentation, the actual status is mapped on a daily basis and by combining construction schedules and models, material requirements for the days can also be planned in the future.
Markus Murauer, Authorised representative Waizenauer
Site Docu and Analytics will be used again for the next construction project and not just with the digital construction diary. The possible uses of the construction site software extend far beyond digital construction documentation. From construction time planning to online analyses, the software can be used exactly where valuable time can be saved in everyday construction site work.
