Doka’s team based in the Dubai office hosted representatives from the Austrian Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs as part of a two-day, inter-sector trade mission, in coordination with the Austrian Embassy’s Commercial Section in Abu Dhabi. Led by Federal Minister Dr. Martin Kocher, the visit was incorporated as part of the Dubai leg of a bi-national tour, which included Oman and the United Arab Emirates. During the visit, delegates learned more about Doka’s contribution to the built environment, which coincides with company’s 30th anniversary in the UAE; recently marked with a celebration for clients and team members. Acknowledging the vital support of parent company, the Umdasch Group, and its owner representatives, The Umdasch family, proceedings included the unveiling of Doka’s new brand identity, as well remarking on some of the company’s most identifiable projects, including the iconic Burj Khalifa and the recently opened Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Managing Director of Doka in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, Michael Arnold said, "After yet another year draws to a close, it has been our pleasure to host Dr. Martin Kocher and his team and to show first-hand how Doka’s valuable products and services have served as a demonstrable extension of Austrian excellence. We are glad to present today, under different circumstances, as an Austrian employer providing a great place to work in the UAE, and we look forward to carrying this performance into 2024 and beyond.”

Ralf Bürger, Executive Vice President Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific added, “The visit marks an important milestone in our region, and it has been our pleasure to host the Austrian Embassy – Commercial Section delegation and share Doka’s insights on the construction sector. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the region and beyond.”

Taking place in both Dubai and Muscat, the Ministry’s tour was organised in coordination with the Austrian Embassy’s Commercial Section in Abu Dhabi and forged part of an inter-sector trade mission to both the United Arab Emirates and Oman in conclusion to the trading year.
